Old Elk Barrel Pick - Limited QTY Left!

The time has finally come - the Old Elk Single Barrel that we picked with two of our very own Whiskey Noobs Crew members, and alongside Brandon from Whiskey Weather, is available now! Members of the Whiskey Noobs Crew purchased the majority of the bottles, so if you want one, I recommend purchasing asap!

In case this is the first you’re hearing of this, here is a brief description: As a 10yr wheated bourbon, this release comes from one of the first barrels that Greg Metze put up when he became Master Distiller at Old Elk. It's a viscous, full-bodied pour, with the usual oaky sweetness, vanilla, and touch of bready flavor that you might expect from a wheated bourbon, but it also brings a couple of interesting twists - there is a distinct note that Brandon (Whiskey Weather) and I both called out as reminding us of soda - for me, it is specifically cherry cola. On top of that, there is a nice mix of baking spice and apple flavor that balances out the bready sweetness, for a well-rounded experience that covers your whole palate. From the nose to the finish, this is a fantastic barrel of whiskey, brought to you uncut at 128.1 proof. If that's too hot for you, have no fear - a couple drops of water can go a long way!
