Community Updates
I feel like there is so much to talk about this month: we have added giveaways to the Patreon page, bonus reviews have started up, Solo Blinds are full speed ahead, and I feel like there’s probably more that I’m not thinking of. If we keep this momentum, the podcast will be back to weekly in no time!
My New Love for NA Beer

I should mention that I have no affiliation with any of the brands I’m about to mention… in case that needed to be said!
This is a weird one, but I thought it would be fun to talk about. During Dry January, I discovered a love for non-alcoholic beer. I was at an engagement party for my buddy, and the restaurant offered non-alcoholic options, so I figured why not give it a try? I was surprised to discover it was pretty good. Not great, but good enough.
Fast forward out of Dry Jan, and I was able to go back to real beer, but then I realized something… most of the time that I drink beer, it’s not for a buzz (honestly most of the time that I drink anything) - it’s all about the vibes for me. I LOVE a Mexican Lager when I mow the grass in the summer. There’s nothing better than a stout with a good steak (except, of course, an Old-Fashioned on occasion). The list goes on and on. Countless beers that I’ve drank, one at a time, along with their calories and the negative side affects of alcohol.
Well, color me surprised when I tried the “Athletic” riff on a Mexican style lager and didn’t hate it. It was good. Not EXACTLY the same, but close enough. This sent me down a rabbit hole that has led to NA Guinness (big fan) and countless brands I have yet to try.
So why am I telling you all this? Honestly, I just feel like this could be a big improvement to my health, and I wanted to share it! A couple beers here and there are no big deal, and trust me, I will still be enjoying those. But for me to be able to enjoy the flavor of a beer without the bloat, calories, or guilt… it’s pretty awesome! If I find more brands that I really like, I’ll be sure to tell you guys.
5 More Days for Free Blanton’s!
That’s right, I am giving away Blanton’s, but not just ANY Blanton’s - Blanton’s Straight from the Barrel! (700mL). There are only 5 days left to enter the giveaway, but it is super easy - just sign up for one of the paid tiers of the Patreon! You will get all of the Patreon benefits (including the free gift for Novice and Expert), and you’ll automatically be entered to won in the MONTHLY bottle giveaways. That’s right, we will be doing this every month! Each tier gets a different number of entries, so please be sure to read the descriptions before signing up!
Also, I want to give a special shoutout to my friends at BondedBottleShop.com for making this possible. I have always wanted to be able to do giveaways like this, but there is no easy way to do it legally, thanks to the US’s confusing liquor laws. They have made this giveaway possible, and they have a fantastic selection, so go check them out!
Cigar Review: Crowned Heads Mil Dias

I won’t lie to you; I am loving these cigar reviews. This week’s was no exception. The Mil Dias from Crowned Heads is our first cigar of the week in the upcoming March pack (which, by the way, is available for 11 more days), and it was RIGHT up my alley.
Construction: The build was so-so. I had no issues with my first one, but the second one kept getting an uneven burn. I THINK the culprit was my humidor, though, which I forgot to refill with water. Hard to say for sure, but I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt
Profile: This is where this cigar SHINES for me. Chocolate, leather, and brown sugar. All day long. It’s not TOO powerful, but it’s not shy either. I enjoyed this smoke from beginning to end - If I saw it at a lounge, I would have no problem grabbing it.
